I have a sick hen that is 2 years old. She has been pick on and plucked. She has stopped walking or really anything but eating and sleeping. I separated her from my other hens and I don't know if she needs just food, water, and wood chips. Is that everything that she will need in her new home. She is still eating, am I over reacting? Any suggestions

Hi @Bryndal Jones :frow Welcome To BYC

Can you post some photos of her poop?
When was the last time she laid an egg?
Have you added any new chickens to your flock within the last 30days?

Check to make sure her crop is emptying overnight.

It's hard to know what's going, but with her not walking, she may be suffering from an internal laying/reproductive disorder like Egg Yolk Peritonitis, Ascites, cancer, tumors or Salpingitis. Symptoms include lethargy, lameness/difficulty walking, weight loss, swelling in the abdomen from fluids or egg masses, labored breathing and sometimes loose stool that may be look like it has egg in it.

Do your best to keep her hydrated. Keep us posted.
