My 1.5 year old Polish is sick. I removed her from the rest of the flock. She sounds congested, and like she’s snoring. We are in Michigan and the temps are freezing here. We have taken all precautions to keep our flock safe. She is the only one like this. I tried to post a short video but it’s not letting me.☹️

Post your video to YouTube or Vimeo with a link posted here.If she has a respiratory infection or disease, she may chill, so you might want to bring her inside in a dog crate with food and water to keep her warm. How long has she had the wheezing? Viruses will not respond to antibiotics, but if it is mycoplasma (MG) that might respond to the antibiotic Tylan 50 injectable given orally. Get that and syringes with needles (3ml syringe, 18 or 20 gauge needle) at a feed store in the cattle medicines. Remove the needle to give the medicine. Dosage is 0.25 or 1/4 ml PER POUND OF WEIGHT 3 times a day for 5 days. A 5 pound chicken would get 1.25 ml. Give slowly into beal a drop at a time. Make sure that she is drinking, and if you make a small bowl of wet feed once a day, she can get more fluids. Read through this link about common respiratory diseases, such as MG, infectious bronchitis, coryza, and ILT:

She sounds pretty sick. Have you wormed her lately? I would start the Tylan 50 and get some SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer or the horse paste, and give her 1 ml orally for the next 5 days. A small syringe would help to give it. That would treat for gapeworm as well.

I will do that. Thank you so much for your help!!!

@CedarTuckyJen Can you take a look inside her beak? It's hard to tell, but is there a yellow plague in the roof of her mouth?
