I need some quick advice ... about 2 days ago i notice one of my hens just not acting rite ... she has lime green poo and doesnt wont to eat but she is still taking water she acts like she doesnt wont to walk or have any thing to do with the other hens ... what could be wrong with my poor baby and what can i do for her .... please help

Mine is doing the same thing, has been for several days now. After reading everything I could find on this site, I think she has sour crop. I am giving her Monistat for it now. Search on this site for sour crop, read everything and see if that's what you think your chicken has.

OK what is monistat ??? and where do i get it >>> and do you think i need to try to get her to eat her grain or could i give her some grass or some thing .... I am afraid for her to go to long with out food ...... AND DO I NEED TO PUT HER UP BY HER SELF ???

Have you researched sour crop? The green poop diahrea is because she is not getting any nutrients. Check her crop in the morning to see if its empty before she eats or drinks, if not empty, is it soft and or hard. Soft is possibly sour crop and hard is impacted. I believe they can be impacted and it goes sour.

chickens can go roughly 3 days without eating ....shes sick so i would figure a few less days without eating

but what you can do is get some crumble (pellet food works to but you have to grind it up) get a syringe fill it with water get some of the food in (shake it so it dosent all sit at the bottom ) and hold her head an drip the food/water in her mouth or on top of her beak it should un forecably force her to drink goooood luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks so much.... at this point i have tried every thing ... to night i made her drink some water with a syringe but she is still just laying in one spot with her eyes closed .... she stood up to day and then just feel over i gave her a hot bath today she acted like she liked it she just sit down in it and didnt even try to get out while i was bathing her i felt of her back end and it was hard so i paltated her but didnt feel any thing i just dont know what to do ...
