Sick Japanese Quail

Hi everyone,

I've got a poorly Japanese quail hen I'm a little worried about and was hoping you might be able to help. She's been fluffed up this way for a week now. She's still active on her feet, runs away from the male and is eating and drinking. But she looks very disheveled, often just stands huddled in the corner and has stopped laying. I was wondering what could be wrong?

I haven't yet wormed them - I'm going to go and get some worming feed today, and I don't think it's anything extremely bad as surely that would have killed her by now.

I haven't seen any feathers at all. Her wings have dropped too, not closely snug against her body. I have four of these colour. They're cute!

What's the flooring made up of? Could be irritating as she's standing on the wood.
