This is our first time with keets, they just got out in the coop yesterday and I noticed while they ruffled their feathers happy to have space and be outdoors- the smallest one had no feathers under its wings and there’s a dark patch . I looked at it and the skin is infected looking but dry / not bleeding like but like it’s been eaten away under both wings but one is so bad . My neighbor thought it was mites, she prayed an antimicrobial spray under it. She doesn’t see any bugs. She said her temp is raised and she’s shivering. She’s very sick she said. What do I do? We don’t have any vets that care for chickens or farm birds. She said to isolate it till it’s better but will prob not make it. She’s worried the other guineas will attack her to death X we have not seen any activity like that. She (my neighbor) doesn’t have any guineas - only chickens. I know chickens do this but I didn’t think guineas did. Any help!?

A guinea flock may attack and kill sick or injured members. They might not also, just depends on their mood and the day.

Put Blu-Kote on the injured area.

Where would I get that? Also they are 8 weeks old today. Young birds will still do that potential attack/kill? Also would you isolate it and how many times a day for the blu-kote

Any feed store should carry Blu-Kote. It is also available online.

One application should be enough. You may want to repeat it in a few days.

8 weeks old is old enough for pecking order disputes to start.
