I am new to backyard chicken. I have a 4 month old Plymouth Rock that is sick. I noticed watery yellow stool a few days ago. Everyone seemed fine. Today the Plymouth Rock had watery yellow stool, making weak noise, laying down, not interested in food or water, slightly labored breathing, closes her eyes and being picked on by Aussie. Yesterday there was our first egg. Not sure who laid. Please advise and help my sick lady!

I would isolate her from the others at once, first so they don't harass her and second , hopefully so they don't catch whatever she has. Is there any chance you could take her to a vet? It is extremely had to examine a bird, we cannot see or touch. It would be best if you posted on the "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread in full detail ie., how long she has been this way, how long without eating, drinking, any other symptoms. Photos would help them a lot - or even if you could shot a short video to show her behavior. Hope they will be able to diagnose her and recommend a treatment regimen.

I am so sorry your bird is sick. Did you find our Emergency section? GitaBooks has left you with the link. I sure hope your bird pulls through.
