Sick little girl

I have an EE (1.5 yr old) that the last couple of days looks bad- she hasn't laid an egg in 4 days. She looks, all the sudden OLD, she has white feather showing - she is still active with her group but something is off - and I don't know what to look for.

If she's still eating and pooping normally, she might be getting ready to start molting. Keep an eye on her.

I just lost my 2-1/2 year old EE. I think an egg broke inside her. Poor girl, she had never molted, either. The rest of the flock had molted in previous years, during the fall. I think it's hard on them, especially when they're getting ready to molt.
