Hi everyone. About a month ago my favourite Muscovy drake, Bobby Sunshine, passed away. We had noticed that he had become slow, but thought nothing of it. Eventually he would barely move at all. My mum picked him up and noticed that he weighed nothing. He was extremely light which was very strange as we fed him enough and he always ate. He also had watery eyes and was quite pale. I believe the other animals knew something was wrong because the chickens continuously pecked him and our dogs kept sniffing him. We brought him up to the house separate from the other ducks and gave him apple cider water and herbs. He ate, but not a lot. He was there overnight before we found him dead the next morning. It was terribly sad because he was our first duck along with his long life partner, Luna. About a month goes by and we have another slow, light drake with watery eyes. Please help! What do we do? What could be wrong?

do you use hay for bedding? I had one of my chickens pass away recently from having a intestine blocked by hay. it was the same symptoms, slowing down, becoming pale, being unhealthy thin. Head to the vet if it could be that.

I am sorry about Bobby sunshine 😭.I hope Luna is not too sad. I lost my first drake Deltan from a concussion almost a year ago. He was only 4 months old. Luckily I still have his mate Helena, and I ended up getting 2 more ducks Anaconas to keep her company and recently adopted a runner.
