Sick peahen

My peahen Princess was acting listless sluggish etc. We took her to the vet on his advice and curiosity because as we explained her symptoms to him he was thinking it sounds like lead poisoning. He xrayed her for lead. No lead as in pellets was found but we do have old ornamental vehicles that could have lead paint. And since no other bird or animals was presenting a sickness it seems to be the only viable conclusion. So now she is very blind. And will be our happy house bird for a while.

Did your vet do a blood test to determine whether or not it is lead poisoning?
Without a blood test there's no way to be sure...
If it is lead poisoning she can be treated.
