Just a few days ago Anastasia was fine. This morning we noticed her in the corner, sitting very still, I thought maybe she was trying to lay her first egg. I reached out to pet her and she did not move. I picked her up and she did not flap her wings, just to rule things out, we checked her bottom. There were loose and stools right where she was sitting, but her bottom was clean, no white droppings, and she is not egg-bound.
Tonight when we did our evening rounds she was laying on her back (chickens don't lay on their backs!). She was brought in and is going to be separated from the pack for a while. We had to give her electrolytes using a dropper, her neck is wobbly, Her eyes aren't opening, she's not walking, not flapping, not squawking, just not chickening. Please help us figure out what is wrong with dear Anastasia. Any advice will help!
