sick red star?

I have given them wazine 17, the vet said the was alright. does this dound good to you ?

Wazine gets rid of large roundworms. Dosage is one ounce per gallon of water for 24 hours. Then discard the treated water after 24 hours and provide them regular freshwater. I recommend that you reworm your birds with a broad spectrum wormer 10 days later. Chickens can get many types of worms, like I mentioned, wazine only gets rid of one type. There's a 14 day slaughter withdrawal after using wazine, if the chicken is good to eat after the 14th day, so are the eggs.
There are 2 broad spectrum wormers that I recommend; safeguard liquid goat wormer or valbazen cattle/sheep wormer. If they arnt available at your feed store, you can order either from Jefferslivestock.com or call them. Both of these wormers also have a 14 day withdrawal period.

I think I can get the safeguard at tractor supply. how much do you put is a gallon of water?

It's best to give it to them individually. Administer the goat wormer using a syringe without a needle. Dosage is orally, undiluted; 1cc for giants, 3/4cc for large fowl, 1/2cc for standards, 1/4cc for smaller birds. It's guesswork when adding wormers to water. You dont know if they drank it or if they drank enough of it to be effective. Sick birds rarely drink. Pull the wattles down and the mouth will open. Squirt the wormer in the mouth and immediatly release the wattles so that the bird can swallow the liquid on her own. If you dont, she could aspirate.
Worming in this manner guarantees they got properly wormed.

my hen is acting better. she still cannot walk but is holding her head up more. I have been giving her water in a cup and forcing her to eat by putting food in her mouth. I am feeding her medicated chicken starter in water. I know I am not feeding her enough but at least is some. she has access to both water and food in the coop where she is at. I am thinking I am going to have to cull her but do not really want to. this has at least told my that she is the hen I have that is not laying. I have three hens and have only been getting two eggs a day since I have gotten them. she is isolated from the rest of my chickens but was around them enough so that if she is contagious then all the rest will have it also and I have seen no sing of that yet. I did find out that most of the dark spots on her comb is dirt, I got some of it off with a wet paper towel.
