I have a three-month-old rooster who is sick. I noticed a few weeks ago he was not his perky self. I have two roosters and I assumed he had gotten into a tiff with the other and just had his pride hurt. I came back from a weeklong vacation to find him doing no better. His comb is pale and droopy and I noticed a few small sores. He seems lethargic, though his appetite seems okay. His stool appears runnier. I brought him inside for observation and I am giving him vitamin supplements and egg yolks along with his normal enriched feed. After perusing the forums, I am wondering if it might be worms. If so, what would I need to use to de-worm and where might I find it? My resources are slim - I have yet to find a vet in my area who sees chickens and I am not sure of any other chicken resources other than Tractor Supply and Atwoods (neither of with have de-wormer that I could locate). Any suggestions for what I might be able to do for this guy? I lost a hen a couple of weeks ago to what I assume to be Marek's disease, although the rest of my flock appears in good health.
