One of our roosters was attacked by a guinnea hen last week, beat up pretty bad. Bloody comb-we cleaned him up, peroxide on the injury and have had him seperated since. His comb is turning black and today he is in bad shape. Doesnt want to move-Please help!!! I don't know what to do for him! :-(

Poor rooster. The comb turning black sounds like it is scabbing over. I have had roosters recover after having a black comb and even having their eyes swollen shut for a few days (following a rooster rebellion). Make sure he is drinking and eating. Keep him fairly warm (60- 70 degree F with heat lamp if needed). You can put neosporin on wounds. Check to see if any wounds look or smell infected.

Maybe you can bring in a hen to visit and see if he perks up at all.
