I have had adult ducks for about a year, I grew up with chickens but ducks are a new experience for me. Anyway, we purchased some khaki campbell ducklings yesterday. They are about 10 days old, but one duckling hatched three days later than his peers and is smaller. He/She seemed to be doing well and then this morning we discovered it laying on it's back in their water. We took it out and are warming it separately. Poor thing is trying to stand on its own but can't and keeps laying down.
Is the poor little thing doomed? Suggestions on what to do? We will be keeping it separate.
