Sick Silkie chick- HELP please.

I have a 3 day old silkie chick that was healthy until today. His "bottom" appears swollen and he is wobbly on his feet. I have been giving him water with sugar and vitamins in. I don't know what could be wrong with him. It appears that he has a "scab" in the middle of his bloated butt. I have no idea - what is going on. Poor baby.

Can you see its' vent? If not it can be poopy butt which you will have to clean ASAP... Can you upload a pic?

Sounds like he has pasty butt. Get that "scab" off his butt right away so he can poop. Wash it with warm water and put some vaseline on it so the poop won't still.

no, not poop I think the scab is where the yolk was absorbed I did wash it, but his belly is more bloated now. Whatever it is, I don't think he will make it. I don't know what else to do. there was no poop, or paste or anything on his vent
