Some time back I posted about my little silkie chick ,who was getting very thin and had blood in her droppings. Well, the blood has gone, but she is still very skinny, and her backside is always very dirty and "claggy",and streaked with white . I heard about something called "vent gleet" which is a Yeast infection, and she certainly has a lot of the symptoms, probably most of them. The treatment begins with flushing the yeast out of the birds system with castor oil or epsom salts, then treatment to stop the diarohea, then giving a pro-biotic. Should I treat her even though she is very skinny still? Anyone out there able to advise , please?
