Just started raising Silkies. I had been raising chickens for 7 years and have encountered this problem. Need help with her.

Coming from the area before her eye . We separated her from the flock and gave her medicated starter feed. It looks like a cyst and I think it's draining. She eating and drinking well.

Medicated feed is not really medicine so please don't think that will help this situation. It will not.

How long have you had this bird?
Can you get a clear closer up picture?

Yikes...that looks really bad.

I would lance it and squeeze the pus out. After that I would start the bird on Baytril (enrofloxacin).
