Hi hoping for some advice we have 3 10 week old silkies all we’re doing grand been off the heat for 4 weeks and out doors in their coop for 2 weeks. One has always been smaller than the other two but haven’t thought much about it then on Tuesday evening could tell he wasn’t well at all brought him inside, put him back under heat and food and water seems to be getting worse just stands under the heat won’t take food or water, eyes closed. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on?

It sounds like it could be coccidiosis but usually if one has it, it's siblings will too.

Giving them Corid won't hurt them, but if this is what it is, it might save this one. You have to stop giving any vitamins while on it. Afterwards, follow up with vitamins and probiotics for two weeks or so.

Otherwise, it could just be a failure to thrive. I get what I call a runt in almost every batch I hatch and none ever have issues, but I've heard of that with others losing theirs.

Welcome to BYC! Sure wish it was on a better note!
