Hi all,

My year and a half old broody silkie is sick again. She seems to stay sick for some reason. About six months ago I treated her for a upper respritory infection with injectable baytril. I took her off the nest this evening and noticed that both her nostrils are clogged with snot. I did clean her nostril out. But, Her eyes are a bit watery. Otherwise, she is fine, eating and drinking fine.

My question is I have Baytril and Penicillin injectable which would be better this go around to treat with. And at what dosage would be good?

Baytril and probably the same dosage as you used before. Welcome the the wonderful world of CRD. You will be treating this bird a lot.

Good luck.

When I went out this morning she looked a lot better. I don't like treating with antiboitics if I don't have to. I may hold off until this evening and see how she is doing and go from there. thanks....
