Sick Three year old Hen.

I have a hen that has been laying every other day for about a month. She missed the last 3 days, and today I noticed she was moving really slowly, and standing with her mouth open. When I released all the other hens into the yard, she just stood there, not interested in going for grass or treats or anything like that. They've been back in the coop for a couple of hours now, and I just went back out to check on her, and she's up on her normal roost, but she's still got her beak open, like she's panting or something. I don't know what it is. Could she be egg bound? She seemed perfectly normal up until this afternoon.

She might be egg bound. Type in egg bound and you will find TONS of information on it and what to do. Can you feel anything in her lower abdomen and/or is she ouchy about being prodded down there?
