Question... how thin was the one that died?

Awesome thanks. It didnt look thinner than other. It weighed 11lbs at just shy of 5 months. That was less than I had expected, but I'm not sure when they start building weight

I don't know. Had not thought of weighing them.

Routine weigh-ins allow one to track the growth curve of young poults, peachicks or chicks of any type. Often the first sign of illness is a lack of gain, which is soon followed by weight loss.

From the pathologist "It could be a postmortem change. Less likely though since the turkey was culled and refrigerated right away. Could be due to a bacterial infection but need culturing to confirm. Histopathology would have given clues."
