Sick Turkey with bright yellow poop

If your turkey is a pet, call the vet back and demand they prescribe metronidazole and enrofloxacin. Oxytetracyline does not treat histomoniasis.

Yes she did. She said ronidazol was once used to treat it, and I have some, so she told me to use that too

This is a horrible disease, and I have spent the last 8 years learning how to treat it. I have probably spent hundreds of hours taking birds to vets, treating sick birds, consulting with veterinarians across the US, and reading articles.

If your turkey is a pet, it needs metronidazole or something in the same class of drugs, and it needs something to treat E. coli (enrofloxacin). Oxytetracyline is no longer effective in treating E. Coli.

If your turkey is not a pet and is destined to be processed, there are no approved treatments. The drugs I mentioned above are banned for use in poultry.

Ronidazole is in the same family of metronidazole, so that's what she told me to keep giving the turkey.
