I have a year and a half old tom. He has been healthy but just yesterday in the afternoon I saw foam coming from his eye. His gobbles seemed to become weaker and he seems to have mucus in his throat he also seems to cough. He's eating and drinking and I'm just wondering what he might have and what I can do about it.

Eye bubbles and foam, along with the mucus in his throat cannbe an early symptom of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG.) They get it through exposure to a carrier or wild birds. It can cause serious facial swelling, coughing, sneezing, and can be serious in turkeys. Tylan 50 injectable used orally, or Tylosin powder added to the water is one of the antibiotics used to treat symptoms. The injectable Tylan 50 may be found in some feed stores, along with syringes and needles to withdrawl it from the vial. Remove the needle to give it orally. Tylosin powder is sold online from Jedds.com, or you may be able to get it from your vet. Here is an article about MG:
