My Saga continues....I have a 14 month Rhode Island Red. She has had these very messy poops for approx 2 weeks. She seems to always be guzzling at the water! Her neck is constantly wet.... maybe she's just a sloppy drinker (who am I to judge?! Ha, ha,). However I feel these two observations are related. A little history here... I give them Garlic and ACV in their water. They are fed No corn; No soy pellets. Get plain greek yogurt or cottage cheese daily. Oyster shells as a free choice and egg shells frequently. They range about 100 sq ft. Currently they are also getting Rooster Booster for cecal worms (seems to have helped, but now seeing small white worms in the droppings of Bard Rock and Black Sexlink) 2 1/5 weeks ago they received Milbemycin Oxime (Interceptor) Broad Spectrum Paraciticide. 1 1/2 weeks before that Wazine 17. Dusted for Mites 2 weeks ago. I started with 4 Birds 7 weeks ago. Culled one EE 2 weeks ago. She appared to have either Perotinitis or Lash Egg Obstruction. She had no other symptoms such as dicharge of any kind. Of the 3 remaining birds RIR is the only one with thirst and loose stool. Advice??? Thanks!

It may be that the hen is hot, they have loose droppings and drink a lot at this time. It could also be that the worms are causing the loose droppings and excessive drinking.

I did want to add, I heard from some people garlic is bad for chickens, while others say it isn't. I have no idea which side is right, just thought I would let you know.

I hope your chickens stay healthy. Best of luck!
