One of my buffies was unable to stand this morning. I put her in a separate area, gave her some water and feed. Came back to check on her and she was standing again. Any idea what could have caused her to be unable to stand? She had a caked bum, and seems to have been stuck.

She may be a meanie but i love her.

Welcome to BYC. She could be dehydrated or being kept from food and water. Keep her vent area cleaned off from droppings, sinc that can attract flies causing maggot infestation or fly strike. I woud put electrolytes and vitamins, or SaveAChick in the water. How old is she, and is she old enough to lay eggs?

Thank you! I took a closer look at her legs after I gave her a warm bath. She has a nasty bruise on her leg. Nothings broken thank goodness, but it looks like she will be on her own for a bit.
