Sickly duck at local produce store...

Did you guys see the pictures? Do they help? So you think that its wings are stunted from poor nutrition? Ah, I HATE that store!

I'm not exactly sure what they had been feeding it, but the single baby pheasant and the three or four few week old pullets (chickens) plus this duck had all been sharing the same food. Maybe some sort of poultry mix?
I'm thinking stunted.

look at the carnucles around top of bill now makes me think possibly 3-4 months old

Does this mean that it won't be able to fly as it gets older, or may lead to some other health issues?
hard to say once you get it healthy by good feed and all kinds of TLC no tellin what that little one will look like in a month.

My poor baby.

Can't say enough how glad I am that it's out of there. Hopefully we'll be able to take it to the vet next week and see what they have to say about her/him.
Any updates, pictures, videos etc - I will DEFINITELY keep everybody updated on Whistles.

I'm in love with it and it isn't even mine. lol it's body just makes me think young but seeing the carnucles already has me really confused. I think after a month this duck is going to look so much better unless we look back at pics we'll not believe it's the same duck, are you using the vitamins yet?

On behalf of myself, Chad (my partner) and Whistles himself, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to BYC user_subhanalah, who contributed the money needed to buy Whistles his own pool! What an angel you are!

Here is a video of Whistles' first time in the pool:

Also - I made a Facebook page about Whistles, to fawn over him as he grows and his health progress, but also to highlight the negligence he's suffered at the hands of Capalaba Produce.

You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/WhistlesTheDuck

Please spread it around/invite your animal-loving friends!
