We just picked up our first fresh chicken - processed Friday.
We also picked up a perdue chicken from the store.

Going to cook them side by side for a comparison. Any suggestions on how to cook?
We don't often have/use full birds unless we buy rotisserie from BJs or Sam's, so those are already done. So ideas on how to cook these babies. I'm open to all the suggestions.
We have an oven, grill, griddle and smoker to be used.

How old was that chicken when it was butchered? If it was the same age as the Perdue chicken, 6 to 8 weeks, then cooking them the same way you normally do a Perdue chicken is the way to go. But if it is much older that's not a fair comparison. All that will show you is that you need to cook them in a manner appropriate to their age.
