Hello to all!

I am new to the chicken community and I hope to learn as much as i can while passing on new things I have learned.

I am building my hen house and I have come upon a problem. I cant decide which will be better in the end, building side doors on the house or just leaving the roof hinged so I can change water and food. The house is 6x4. I have a 4ft section that i would use for the side doors. It is 24in high. The house will be about 1ft or more off the ground, due to it will be welded to a metal mobile yard. I didnt know if anyone else has come across this or not. I am sure its not as trivial as I am making it out to be. Any help would be appreciated!

Definitely doors with a board across to keep the litter in, make it removable so you can just pull the bedding out, alot easier than shoveling it up and out.

ah yes i didnt even think of that. It would be hard to spread the woodshavings with side doors, so the roof it is. If you look to the right of the picture I have welded another cross piece 4'' above the bottom so I can have a sub floor to just directly pull in and out. Thanks for the help.

Well, I meant pull the floor out and clean it. Then return it to the hen house.
