Guess it depends on what you have already searched google for. ;)

Mine populates with ICF construction and retaining wall designs. Its almost like I'm pouring a concrete house into the side of a hill. Oh wait...

Need? No.

Will your birds climb all over your inner framing, drag their straw/bedding onto it, kick it back off, and poop everywhere they can stand? YES. Will it then be more prone to rot? Also yes.

But need? No. In my barn, which I frequently use a corner of as a brooder, grow out box, or time out box (in accordance with need), I used a few roofing nails to staple up some left over housewrap to keep the birds off of my sill plates so they wouldn't deposit poop there. Anything will work, it doesn't have to be structural.

/edit the wrap is loose at the bottom, and extends into the area where their straw goes down. When I clean that area, i just fold the edge up, broom out the webs, dust whatever, and drop it back into place.

Or, you could just broom it/scrape it out occasionally to make sure things don't sit there and decay.

You don't need inner sheathing for a chicken coop.
Adds cost and is a good place for pests to live between the inner and outer sheathing.
That's what I was worried about! I was asking because I thought that it could solve the problem of birds climbing all over it.

Yeah, that's what I was worried about when asking the question, the whole 'climbing on things' stuff. I'll figure it out.

Much easier to put something up on any cross framing than sheathing the whole inside.
Small piece of angled plywood or mesh.
And likely they'll only do that when pretty young and small, they grow out of that pretty fast.
