Sigh....Failed Hatch

today is Day 22 and still no sign of a hatch. I did see a pip hole in one egg but no further action.

Should I give them a few days longer before discarding or just toss in the towel and try again with new eggs ?

I would give them a few more days. I've had chicks hatch at up to day 26 in the past. Sometimes they take longer. Best of luck to you!

Thanks... that's what I was hoping that I'd be advised to do.

I have one VERY loud PEEP coming from the incubator. The chick has pecked a good sized hole in the shell but has not yet emerged . The hole is large enough to facilitate breathing. The other eggs, so far, have not exhibited any "pip" holes so will let them go a while longer. I guess raising a singleton chick will be interesting as he/she will be incredibly spoiled with having a human Mama.
