<sigh> Freeloaders

Nice life these chickens have...not an egg in gratitude! Mac and cheese from the Blue Box as a snack yesterday (eaten like worms...very cool to watch) -, nice clean coop and the best water and food one can get in the area. Should I show them pictures? Educational films? Threaten them? Spank them? Eat them? (never).

My last hen would give me an egg everytime I gave her a fresh night-crawler. My hubby's buddy has plenty of extra's - he buys them by the boxful, then never goes fishing! After a few days of seeing the box in his fridge, he'll send the worms up for our chicken.

my ladies know when its wednesday
they get their treat cottage cheese and yogurt.
Thursday they give me 1-2 extra.
Friday is egg and tater pancakes.

Just a bunch of little snots...now they are all tucked in for the night behind 2 locked gates...and I keep the door to the house open. What is wrong with me?
