These 8 Partridge Silkie eggs survived a 3 day power outage and fluctuating temperatures. Yesterday night I heard peeping and moving, but NOTHING today!!! No pips, no visible motion, nothing. The suspense is killing me!!!

What do you think is going on?

im going through the same thing. its day 23 for me. candeled about a hour ago and still alive....

Quote:
If they were running cool or had a few cooler days, they might be delayed and hatch day 22 or 23, even 24 depending on how long they were cool.

The they got cool when the power was down its not uncommon for them to hatch a few days late

If its the outer membrane that looks dry, thats whats supposed to happen. Dont worry.

A 3 day power outage would put your new hatch date at day 24-25

ETA: I didn't read. :p anyway, yeah. The outer membrane should be snow white. The inner membrane is your worry factor. If it has the color of iodine, it's not good.
