I had great hatches in the spring, pretty awful ones this summer.(except for the ducks for some reason? Which makes little sense as its been drier

I had a little Easter Egger hatch out, at first I wasnt sure if it was going to make it but this morning it is up and running around, appears to be very healthy.
Besides my ducks, the last chicken hatches were in this order: One silkie, three mixed, one Japanese bantam and now the EE.(Not counting the few where NOTHING happened.)
I am not going to complain though because I AM happy with the little one! At least it didnt happen as it did with the Blue Andalusian hatch, where only one pipped and then died in the process.

I do find it ironic that just when I think I have figured out things,(Been doing this for a while now) hatches prove me wrong. Thats life I guess!
