Watching and praying for one of our hatchlings. We cam home from work to find him/her on their back, unable to stand.
Suspecting it was the heat/dehydration (although there was plenty of water and they had their pool) No sign of any trauma, and the other 7 are fine. Fred (his/her fellow hatchling is George) has managed to drink, and is breathing easier but still cannot stand.

All 8 are on a starter/growth feed at night. They are outside browsing 8 - 10 hours a day.
The other 7 are fine.
As an update, "Fred" is much more alert this morning. He is gaining a bit more stability but still cannot stand and walk on his own,
though he is much better than he was last night.

Fred can stand now..although it is kinda like a drunk. Yes, unmedicated feed. Manure has been nice and green. We hope to see continued improvement

Fred continues to slowly get better. He is still unsteady on his feet, but he is walking, swimming and browsing again.
We are beginning to wonder if he may have gotten into a fight with one of our ducks. There is no sign of trauma
and nothing seems to be sore to the touch on him though.
