Hi I have 5 month sil go link Hens and they are not laying any eggs. We have 7 other hens that are laying but not the sil go link. I am feeding cracked corn with 37% layer con I am doing 3-1(3 corn 1 layer con . I don't know why they are not laying can anyone help?

1. Some birds just take longer to mature and your climate can affect that.

2. I would not advise a 3:1 ratio for feed. I'm afraid they may not be getting enough nutrients if the majority of the feed is just corn.
 
If your concentrate is 37% and you mix 3 parts corn at 8% protein, you're feeding roughly a 16% formulation. This is fairly average, actually. If your corn is 9%, you're doing about 18% protein.

All that said, if you were to feed a different feed, for just one 50lb or 100lb bag and saw some marked improvement in the overall vigor or improvement, you might have some concern with your present program. Frankly? It might be worth a try.

from Oklahoma. I agree that some birds just take longer to lay than others. Since I don't know the breed you're asking about I would recommend that you peruse the feeding and watering your flock thread for more ideas.

Glad you joined us! I hear feeding hens just layer food for a few days gets them going, though I haven't tried it myself.
