You might try a covered container with holes and burying it in a fireant mound for a hands off approach. I tried it once with an opossum skull I think, had mediocre results. It’s a pretty popular method, but I don’t use it.Ah ok. I was actually hoping I could put a few in a mesh cage in the corner of the yard where animals couldn’t get into it and let the bugs and bacteria work away most of it over a long time period. Then just give it a good clean once it’s mostly decomposed.
I might give it a try. Especially with such a delicate small piece. If it doesn’t work out no big deal. You might try a covered container with holes and burying it in a fireant mound for a hands off approach. Another method is to clean as much meat off as possible and then leave it in some water outside, with some occasional water changes as it rots.I might give it a try. Especially with such a delicate small piece. If it doesn’t work out no big deal.
Goodnight!I’m out too! Goodnight all!

Tried this as well, can get kinda gross and can make larger skulls greasy but it might work well for a little bird skull.
Anyway, update us if you try it! Goodnight.![]()
