Silence Is Not Golden Here

Apparently, Ash may end up being an over-productive pullet... First egg three days ago, second egg yesterday, third egg today. Each one two grams lighter than the last, the second two in the dresser-turned-nest box. I was expecting something more along the lines of an egg every three days or so.
Lucille II has only skipped a single day in about three weeks. I was not expecting that.
I wonder if it's because there are so many bugs around this time of year and I free range?? Her eggs are the same size every day. I mean, I think they are... I'm not weighing them though.

Yup. He was all arms and legs. Oddly enough, when we sat down I was "taller" than him. I was the headroom checker when we went car shopping.

He ate non stop. He'd eat a whole box of cereal for breakfast. Make a whole loaf of bread worth of sandwiches for lunch, but they were always gone by lunch time. He'd have to buy lunch. By 3 he was running out for a burger. Then he'd eat a family of 4 sized box of fish & chips for dinner. I was wrong... he weighed 135 then. No matter what he did, he couldn't gain weight. He had some testing done and they found that he burned 1300 calories in his sleep!
So, I went on this diet, essentially just following the Canada food guide (I've never eaten so much in my life!). To support me he followed it too. I lost 60 lbs in 13 weeks. He went from 135 to 150! There's definitely something to be said for those food guides.
Up until I was about 22, I ate and ate and ate and couldn't gain weight. I'm 5 ' 4" - yes, I am short, especially compared to you tall ladies! Think I weighed about 95 pounds. Was really proud of myself when when I broke 100.
I worked at a little bakery on the water in Gig Harbor. I power ate so very many carbs and sandwiches. Granted, I was (and continue to be) a busy body. I ran every day after work. Used to run at work during my lunch break of my current job, but the knees don't care much for that anymore. So, now I do yoga every day and my knees don't hurt.
I don't weigh myself. Haven't in years. I don't even own a scale.

Ash's look the same, but I've been weighing them. Mostly out of curiosity... I was thinking of saving the first egg of each pullet, blowing them out, and turning them into decorations, but I decided it wasn't really worth it. I'm not that sentimental.

I thought yoga is very hard on the knees too.

I'm 6'1" and sadly, I weigh about 240 right now. About 6 months after I had the Milk Drinker, I dropped to about 185 very quickly and I needed to eat more. In the 1.5 years since then, I jumped back up. I weighed about 235 when I got pregnant with him, so it isn't that unexpected. I don't like how much I weigh, but it isn't too horrible. I'm only in size 14 pants and Large-XL shirts. I actually have less bulk now than I did when I weighed this same amount before I went gluten free 8 years ago. I was a size 18 then and HORRIBLY unhealthy. It is amazing how much different your physique can be while being the same weight. I don't think I'm being successful in dropping any weight at the moment because the Milk Drinker is... well still drinking milk and my hormones have my body in reserve mode.

I lost nearly 40lbs when I was pregnant (hyperemesis and a lack of interest in food), but I developed an autoimmune disease last summer and have gained it all back plus an additional 20lbs... I finally stopped gaining weight since getting my medication to the correct levels. And because of my autoimmune disease, I may never be able to loose this weight.

Nope! No knee stretching at all. No impact at all. You can definitely hurt yourself though if not doing poses correctly. I'm sure hurting the lower back is likely the most common injury.
I love Lesley Fightmaster on the ol YouTubes. Her videos are amazing and free!
I practice Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga - knees have never felt better!

Hmmm... I might have to look into that... my knees don't bend well (lymphedema.. too much fluid for them to bend).

Ouch. Definitely no Vinyasa or Ashatanga yoga. While there is no stretching of the knee, there is a lot of bending. I'm going to email her and ask her if there are poses she could recommend for lymphedema. Maybe she'll do a routine for you!

New Zealand is wonderful. But Tasmania is better than New Zealand. Wellington is very.... commercial. It's a lot like Seattle. Hobart is very friendly, where you walk into a shop on their biggest tourist event of the year (Sydney-Hobart yacht race) and they offer you a cup of tea, ask where you're from, and just want to chat. Then you buy stuff because they're so nice and never pushed it on you.
How did you manage to see all these places???
