Silent crowing?

One my new buff orps (2 months old) will periodically open her beak really wide and make a gesture that looks like silent crowing. This wouldn't be a sign that "she" is a "he" would it?

No it does not mean she is a he. She probably just needs to adjust the contents of her crop.

My Orp pullet did the silent crow from 3 weeks old after she heard a rooster crow. I don't catch her doing it anymore now that she's all grown up, but I had some restless nights worrying she was a rooster. Fear not- it appears to be something they like to do.
