I think its a rooster, because of the streamers on its head. He is very handsome.

Silkies are extremely difficult to sex before the age of 4-5 mos. and sometimes not till they lay or crow. Is this a hatchery bird? They tend not to have big, full crests, that birds from a breeder would possess. I wouldn't guess at this point because it would be - just a guess.

Not a hatchery baby , but from a breeder. Has a sweet peronality, we have a Polish we got with this one , and they are sooo funny!! Best friends, do not leave each others side, and make the sweetest calls when they are seperated .
