Silkie... Again

I love my silkie!! I think they are cute

I know I am gonna drive people crazy with this little one. I am not sure where all I should post this, so I figured I would post here, too.

Hi Everyone! I am new to raising backyard chickens and very new to silkies. I only have one, but hopefully that will change soon. It is supposed to be 2 weeks this Tuesday, but it could be as old as 5 weeks. I would really like some help figuring out how old it is, if anyone can help.

I noticed today it is starting to get these odd looking feathers. They kinda stick out and look like they are split. From the little bit of digging I did, I think it is normal for the breed, but I would like some opinions on the matter. Sorry the pics are not the best, I have to use my camera phone as my real camera is acting weird.

And of course, if anyone has any suggestion about its gender, I would appreciate it. I have kinda figured out they are hard to sex, though.

I don't know anything about silkies but yours is a real cutie. There is a silkie thread on here - you could search for it. The people there really know their silkies.
