silkie anatomy question

Here is a picture of a recently butchered (and eaten) silkie:


we're trying to figure out what those two little kidney/testicle looking things are. We're sure they aren't kidneys, and are guessing they are testicles. There weren't any light coloured organs in the chicken, the lungs were orangy but there was nothing like testes (which I have seen in other breeds are generally whitish/yellow).

Can anyone confirm if those things are in fact the testes?

I'm pretty sure that those are the testicles, and they are pigmented just because silkies in general are pigmented.
