So, my cousin, the one that got me into chickens to start with, just found out that her whole flock has a disease and will probably have to euthanize her whole flock. I am super upset about that for her. BUT, my silkie girls started laying about a month and a half ago.... so, I figured I would give incubation a shot! Low and behold, I decided to candle my new eggs today (at 5 days) and there are VEINS in 5 of the 7 eggs so far!!!! I am so excited! I am going to hatch as many as I can and give them to her to start her flock over !
