Silkie Bath Time!
In preparation for the show I'm attending tomorrow with four of my Silkie pullets, bathing was required!
Being out and about they can get grotty and pick up all sorts on their feathers and feet.
I'll be having a nice 6am start again tomorrow morning, re-washing their foot feathers before we leave. I swear their feet are poop magnets...
Anyways, I just thought I'd share them here!
I go into shows with no intention of winning, I just enjoy the experience each time. This time they are entered into a mixed AOV of Bantam Soft Feather chickens so chances are lowered even more anyways.
However, who would be your winner?
In my eyes they're all winners but I think after washing my bearded white, she looks stunning.
Oh, if you are wondering how I get them so white, a 60 degree wash and spin works great!
(Don't take this seriously...but if you want to know my bathing method I will happily share).
