I ordered 10 silkies from Ideal Poultry in March. They are 19 weeks today. Out of the 10, I have heard and witnessed 8 crow. They had all been together until Sunday. I separated 5 of the roosters and took them to my moms. Everything was fine until this morning. One of them was being attacked by the other 4 so he was hiding. She removed him and we tried to place him back with the others, but they attacked him again. I brought him home and placed him with the 2 hens (hopefully because they didn't try to attack him) and the other 3 roosters. They immediately jumped on him. I grabbed him to get him out, and one of the "attackers" was chasing me and pecking my foot. I took him out for a few and then placed him back in with them. After a couple of "interventions" they are now playing "nice". IS THIS NORMAL??? I know I am going to have to get rid of 3 roosters since I only have 2 hens, BUT for now, any suggestions?????

Unfortunately hormonal birds often fight. Many times every rooster needs his own pen, and sometimes they can be put in groups. Separate out any being harassed or you could end up with dead birds especially if they can't escape.
