Silkie behavior

So I have a slight concern with my black silkie, Yin. Yin cannot keep up with the rest of the chickens when they are roaming the yard. We have a .25 of an acre. So not terribly big. If she gets out of eye sight she starts squaking for the other chickens. In the past one of the chickens would come running for her. Lately they are not coming for her. Instead she walks towards the house looking for me. The reason I am concerned is that she is slow and if she is alone I am afraid a predator, such as our cats or a hawk will target her. It is flattering that she sees me as a protector. I took her to the flock a few times yesterday, which might have been a bad idea. Cause maybe now she will expect that. Any thoughts on this? I am surprised the others are leaving her behind and not going to get her. The other silkie keeps up just fine with the others. But the slow silkie, Yin has totally feathered out feet and Yang the buff one doesn't have feathered feet yet.
