I found her in the coop with blood on the neck around her ear lobe, its only on one side. I don't know what to do, do i take her to a vet? There's a chunk of skin hanging,

Is it the earlobe just torn away, the wound does not look too deep in the photos .
I would just flush it with saline, diluted betadine or if all you have is soapy water use that. Rinse well, then apply tripe antibiotic ointment or Vetericyn.

Do you happen to know what happened - was she attacked or did she get the ear hung on wire or a feeder?

I honestly have no idea. My grandmother seems to think it was the rooster because he's starting to get kind of pushy around the others but I'm going to look around and see if there was a screw somewhere sticking out. Thank you for the reply, i was panicking because this the second time this chicken has gotten into trouble, and I was scared it would be worse

I'd trim the feathers near the wound.

With her light coloring you'd probably notice other bleeding wounds, but just in case an epsom salt bath would be helpful for her. Relaxing but also a huge help with accelerating the healing process. You can drip water into the wound with a washcloth. And then follow what the others here have recommended.

It's kind of an odd looking shape, more like a hole than a tear. Is she eating and drinking okay? Holding her neck up without any problems?

It looks like she caught her earlobe in something. Disinfect the wound and put some blue kote on it and return her to the flock.
a doc.used that stuff on my goat an i will never never use that stuff again it burns them i put some on a lil scrape i had an no no no i love my pets to much to hurt them like that .wash it with clean water an put triple antibiotic on it.

Yup she's eating and drinking completely normally, i think it's skin pulled away from the muscle. Im going to try and wash it a little if i can. She's not easy to hold or touch

I've never met a chicken head that will hold still for me.

I'd probably coat the wound in raw or Manuka honey and try to work some under the skin so it spreads out underneath. The Epsom salt baths super accelerate healing, so I'd do the combination.

As for Blue Kote, I keep reading not so good things about it. I'm wondering if there's an alternative to hide the wound so she can stay with her flock and not get cannablized. Are you able to tuck her somewhere else for a week during the initial healing phase?
