just curious, I recently saw a picture of this gorgeous cross breed but when I saw what she was crossed with I was little surprised.
she was a cross between silkie and brahma, she had a brahma body and feathers but face of a silkie and her size was in the middle of silkie and brahma the owner said, she told me this was a kind bird and good egg layer.
I own brahmas and I own silkies and I am little bit thinking of crossing them, but wouldn't it be best to but my brahma hens with my silkie rooster then?
wouldn't my brhama rooster just crush the silkie hens?
I don't know if I will cross them tho, my incubator is full now and I'm getting some leghorn and cuckoo maran egg when the other egg have hatch so I'm not sure if I will cross my brahmas and silkies together tho.
but dose anyone own a cross like this and could maybe show me pictures and tell me if the dad was a brahma or a silkie?
(I think it would be better to juse my silkie as the dad but not sure, he's so small next to my brahma hens so will he be able to mate with her?) (and I'm scared if I would juse the brahma rooster that he would just crush her because he's so big, so I think I will not juse him)
I will probably just let my silkie rooster to have the brahma hens with him and hope he be able to fertile the eggs but like I said I won't do this until like after maybe 6-7 weeks because my incubator is full and I going to but other eggs in the incubator when they hatch so I have a long time to decide it.
