I have a small flock of young Silkie hens who began laying last fall. As of 10 days ago, I have 4 (yes, 4!) hens sharing 2 nest boxes and boy, are they broody! I finally put 5 eggs under them today, I felt so sorry for them! They are no longer laying, so I collected the eggs from the 3 who are not broody and are still laying. Did I do right? I have a feeling that this is not the last time that I will encounter this problem, so information is critical! I am NEW to Silkies, so I need HELP! Thanks!

Silkies are supposed to be one of the broodiest of breeds.

I've never had any, myself.
