So, after a long search, I just found my silkie in the pigpen in a pile of hay trying to sit on 11 eggs. She must have just started sitting on them today as she was in the coop last night.
I moved her and her eggs into a nest in the chicken coop where she is safe from predators and/or being stepped or laid on by a pig and she did get right back on her nest. She seems to be having a hard time keeping that many eggs under her. So, I am wondering if I should remove some of them to give her the best chance at success. I am fine with her being broody so I don't want to take them all.
What do you all think?
