i have a white silkie she started sitting at night with 7 eggs so i left them in there for her. now she has 11 and still only sits on them at night . in the morning and day shes up moving around.

is she getting ready to go broody or just sleeping in the box with the eggs?

i watched her get in tonight and she made sure every egg was under her. thanks

It sounds like she is starting to go broody - its not an "on-off" switch and develops more strongly over time (a couple of weeks, say). Personally, i would remove the eggs and give her more time - she should want to sit in the nest even without eggs. Eventually, you are likely to find her only coming off the nest to eat / drink etc. Then is the time i would put eggs under her, but in nest where she will not be disturbed by other hens.
